How We Met

The summer before we started college, we attended Baylor University’s Line Camp, which is a program designated for incoming freshmen to become familiar with the campus in addition to meeting new friends. Luckily, we were placed in the same small group (10 or so people), which soon became a close-knit band of friends! During the first semester, all of us continued to hang out on a daily basis, helping the two of us to get to know each other a little better. Eventually, the two of us started spending more and more time together. From studying together to having movie nights in the dorm, we were inseparable. Little did we know that we were building the foundation for our marriage!

The Proposal

We got engaged on May 6th, 2016. Evan told Allie that they were going on a date to dinner and a movie, but secretly, she knew what was happening. Instead of the movies, he took her to Cameron Park, where he had a surpise planned for her. There is a section of the park called Lover's Leap that overlooks the Bosque River. Here, Evan had set up a scene with cute decorations, and he brought Allie to pop the question! After she said yes, our families and some friends came out of hiding to celebrate with us, and there was much rejoicing.
